Instructions | If Collecting Carboxyhemoglobin by itself the specimens stability is: 5 days Room Temperature, 5 Days Refrigerated. However, if also collecting Venous Blood Gases or Artierial Blood Gases, the specimen must be kept on ice at all times after collection. Sent to lab immediately with the Blood Gas specimen. |
